Under Circular 23/2019/TT-BLDTBXH, suit tailor-made technology is a discipline and profession that involves the production of tailor-made suits from various raw materials in high-end tailor-made suit producers to meet market demands... meeting the level 5 requirements in the Vietnam Qualification Framework.

In particular, employees working for tailor-made suit producers shall research model designs and technology designs, cut semi-finished products, complete tailor-made suits, manage the production line, conduct quality control of the production process, and supply products to the market.

The suit tailor-made technology profession requires the necessary competencies to implement the entire production technology process and persistence, carefulness, meticulousness, and dexterity because the main positions and tasks include designing, cutting, sewing, and ironing male and female tailor-made suits either individually according to orders or mass-producing on the production line.

Moreover, the suit tailor-made technology profession is organized within tailor-made suit producers in Vietnam. Therefore, the conditions for performing the duties of the suit tailor-made technology profession must ensure labor safety, industrial discipline, and teamwork due to the collective nature of the work. Employees must have good health and adequate capacity to work. They must use various equipment and tools, including Computers, printers, fabric shrinkage treatment devices, fabric spreading devices, adhesive pressing devices (glue, mex...), common and specialized sewing equipment, programming equipment applying information technology, buttonhole and button attaching devices, decorative punching devices, pressing and shaping devices for tailor-made suit details, and product packaging equipment to ensure quality.
