According to Article 11 of the Regulation issued with Circular 39/2012/TT-BGDDT, the principal of a private intermediate professional school in Vietnam must meet the standards of competence and ethics; the recognition process, term of office; duties and powers of the principal of a private intermediate professional school in Vietnam as specified in the Charter of Intermediate Professional Schools. The principal of a private intermediate professional school must not be an official or public employee on the state payroll and must not be over 70 of age as of the date of the issuance of the recognition decision by the competent authority.
Additionally, the principal of a private intermediate professional school in Vietnam is nominated by the Board of Directors when more than half of the members agree by a secret ballot and is recognized by the Director of the Department of Education and Training. The principal of a private intermediate professional school in Vietnam is the person who manages the school's activities, represents the school in performing the assigned tasks, and is responsible before the Board of Directors, the educational management agency, and the law for the assigned tasks.
Furthermore, this Regulation also specifies the number of vice-principals, standards of competence and ethics; the recognition process, term of office; duties and powers of the vice-principal of a private intermediate professional school as specified in the Charter of Intermediate Professional Schools. The vice-principal of a private intermediate professional school in Vietnam must not be an official or public employee on the state payroll and must be not over 70 years old as of the date of the issuance of the recognition decision by the competent authority.
