Vietnam: The payout rate shall not exceed 60% of total value of tickets issued

This is a notable content specified in Circular No. 36/2019/TT-BTC providing guidance on computer-generated lottery business.

According to Circular No. 36/2019/TT-BTC of the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam, the computer-generated lottery enterprise shall calculate and set the payout rate for each lottery product, which shall not exceed 60% of total value of tickets issued.

The computer-generated lottery enterprise shall establish the payout rate, the quantity and structure of prizes for each product and submit them to the Ministry of Finance for consideration and approval as prescribed in Article 34 and Article 6 of this Circular.

Also according to Circular No. 36/2019/TT-BTC, payout options are as follows:

- Fixed payout;

- Proportional payout;

- Combination of both payment options specified above.
