Vietnam: The Level of Autonomy required after graduation from transportation engineering technology at College Level

Recently, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam (MOLISA) issued Circular 46/2018/TT-BLDTBXH regulating the minimum amount of knowledge, competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation from intermediate and college levels in fields such as materials, metallurgy, production, and other technical technologies in Vietnam.

Vietnam: The Level of Autonomy required after graduation from transportation engineering technology at College Level

In the regulation of the minimum volume of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from the intermediate level and college level in transportation engineering technology profession, issued together with Circular 46/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum degree of autonomy and responsibility that learners must achieve after graduating from the transportation engineering technology discipline at the college level is as follows:

- Proactively, seriously, and highly responsible in surveying, designing, and constructing transportation works;

- Work independently and coordinate work in teams;

- Guide and supervise others in the group in conducting surveys, designing, and constructing transportation works;

- Take personal and group responsibility for one's work results before the leadership of agencies, organizations, and enterprises;

- Do not avoid difficult tasks and take high responsibility for ensuring quality, schedule, and cost-effectiveness of work;

- Evaluate the quality of work after completion and the results of group members' performance;

- Strictly comply with regulations on labor protection, labor safety, and fire prevention;

- Have the awareness to study and train to improve professional qualifications and vocational skills.

More details can be found in Circular 46/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, which comes into effect in Vietnam from February 10, 2019.
