Vietnam: Test methods of environmental treating products in aquaculture from July 01, 2020

On March 02, 2020, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam issued Circular No. 03/2020/TT-BNNPTNT promulgating the National technical regulation on environmental treating products in aquaculture.

Specifically, according to Circular No. 03/2020/TT-BNNPTNT of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, test methods are specified in the Table below:

2	Cadmium (Cd), Lead (Pb)	TCVN 10643:2014, TCVN 9588:2013 (ISO 27085:2009), TCVN 8126:2009
4	Mercury (Hg)	EN 16277:2012.
5	Salmonella	TCVN 10780-1:2017 (ISO 6579-1:2017)
6	E. coli	TCVN 7924-2:2008.

(1) Test methods that have been amended or replaced or other test methods that are pre-determined in accordance with law are acceptable.

Samples shall be collected for testing purposes in accordance with regulations laid down by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development or National technical regulation or National standard on sampling of environmental treating products in aquaculture.

More details can be found in Circular No. 03/2020/TT-BNNPTNT of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, which takes effect from July 01, 2020.
