This is the content stipulated in Circular 15/2017/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam amending and supplementing certain articles of the Regulations on working policies for general education teachers issued together with Circular 28/2009/TT-BGDDT.
Policies for reducing teaching hours for teachers concurrently holding Party, union duties have been amended and supplemented by Circular 15 as follows:
- Teachers concurrently serving as the Secretary of the Party Committee or Secretary of the School Branch of a Grade I school will have their teaching load reduced by 4 periods per week, while those at other grade schools will have their teaching load reduced by 3 periods per week.
- Teachers concurrently holding union work positions will follow the teaching load reduction regulations stipulated in Circular 08/2016/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam.
- Teachers concurrently serving as the Secretary or Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union at the school level will receive benefits and policies in accordance with Decision 13/2013/QD-TTg.
- Teachers concurrently holding the position of Chairman or Secretary of the School Council will have their teaching load reduced by 2 periods per week.
- Teachers concurrently serving as the Head of the School's People’s Inspection Committee will have their teaching load reduced by 2 periods per week.
- To ensure the quality of teaching and work, each teacher may not concurrently hold more than 2 positions and shall enjoy the teaching load reduction policies of the position with the highest reduction.
