- Supervise the implementation and performance of socio-economic development tasks, consolidate national defense and security in communes - towns;

- Supervise the compensation, and site clearance; supervise the process of resettlement arrangement for people after clearance;

- Supervise administrative reform in conjunction with anti-corruption activities, practice thriftiness, and combat wastefulness;

- Supervise the implementation of urban cultural lifestyles;

- Supervise the organization and implementation of fundamental construction investment using state budget funds, the management, exploitation, and use of works after construction;

- Supervise the implementation of economic development investment projects, transformation of livestock and crop structures, effectiveness after investment;

- Supervise the prevention and combat of crimes and social evils in the locality; the effectiveness of supporting and helping post-rehabilitation people reintegrate into the community.
