The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs of Vietnam issued Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH on the minimum knowledge volume and required competencies for graduates from intermediate (Level 4 of VQF) and college (Level 5 of VQF) levels in agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and veterinary.

According to the regulation on the minimum knowledge volume and required competencies for graduates from intermediate and college levels in Agriculture – forestry industry extension issued together with Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, Agriculture – forestry industry extension, Level 5 of VQFin Vietnam is a profession that involves organizing the implementation of propaganda, dissemination of knowledge, training, coach and advising, and supporting farmers to promote the development of agriculture, forestry, and fishery production, meeting the requirements of level 5 in the Vietnam National Qualifications Framework.
Graduates will have the ability to perform the following main tasks: Organizing, managing, and disseminating information on the guidelines and directions of the Communist Party, policies, and laws of the state in agricultural and forestry production to the people; researching, developing, and disseminating technical, scientific, and technological advances, as well as exemplary models in agricultural, forestry, and fishery production and business; organizing, managing, and implementing training, coaching, and education for farmers on production skills, organizing, and managing production and business in the fields of agriculture, forestry, and fishery; researching, proposing, and organizing the implementation of demonstration models and scaling up scientific and technological advancements suitable to each locality, the needs of producers, and the orientation of the sector, models of production practices linked with product consumption; providing advisory services on rural agricultural production and services.
Notably, the minimum knowledge volume is 1800 hours (equivalent to 65 credits).
