Vietnam: Standards for the professional title of Grade IV Intermediate Archivist (Illustrative image)
Under Article 6 of Circular 13/2014/TT-BNV, the specific regulations on the standards for the professional title of Grade IV Intermediate Archivist in Vietnam - Code: V.01.02.03 are as follows:
- Participate in developing programs and plans for the archival work of the agency or organization;
- Carry out tasks of classification, arrangement, file creation, systematization, and arrangement of documents based on current professional guidance documents;
- Conduct restoration, preservation, and archival insurance according to guidance;
- Participate in developing various tools for document searching according to the tasks of the agency or organization;
- Perform statistical documentation according to professional procedures and current legal regulations;
- Perform other tasks assigned by the head of the agency or unit.
- Process an intermediate diploma in clerical and archival work;
- Possess a foreign language certificate at level 1 (or equivalent) according to the Vietnamese foreign language proficiency framework;
- Possess an informatics certificate with a basic information technology usage skills standard.
- Understand the policies and guidelines of the Communist Party of Vietnam; the policies and laws of the State regarding archival work;- Grasp basic knowledge and skills about archival activities;
- Understand the position, functions, tasks, organizational structure, and internal relations of the agency or unit within the state's organizational system;
- Be competent in implementing archival professional procedures and processes as prescribed;
- Understand and be capable of properly executing principles of document protection, and technical standards for ensuring the safety and confidentiality of archival storage, documents, and preservation equipment usage.
