Skills required for learners majoring in college-level operation of road construction machinery​ (Illustration)

According to Circular 50/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, learners majoring in college-level operation of road construction machinery are required to achieve the following skills:

• Ability to read construction documents for road surface structure components; proficiency in searching for specialized technical documents in Road Construction Machinery Operation;

• Preparedness for pre-construction tasks for graders, rollers, pavers, and related road construction machinery;

• Operation of various types of graders, pavers, rollers, and related road construction machinery to perform road surface structure layers correctly, ensuring technical requirements and labor productivity;

• Ability to handle common machine malfunctions during the construction of road surface structure layers;

• Capability to conduct technical maintenance of graders, rollers, pavers, and related road construction machinery according to technical requirements;

• Identification of causes and replacement of simple damaged parts of graders, rollers, pavers, and related road construction machinery according to technical requirements;

• Ability to calculate the amount of fuel, labor, and required machinery for road construction;

• Efficiency in coordinating and arranging construction machinery rationally on the construction site; timely technical and schedule adjustments in road construction;

• Compilation of construction volumes of road construction machinery;

• Acceptance and handover of the project according to regulations;

• Organization and implementation of measures ensuring labor safety and environmental hygiene; handling emergency situations and providing first aid to victims at construction sites;

• Basic utilization of information technology as prescribed; exploitation, processing, and application of information technology in the professional work of the industry, trade;

• Basic use of foreign language, achieving level 2/6 in Vietnam's Foreign Language Proficiency Framework; application of foreign language proficiency in the professional work of the industry, trade.
