Vietnam: Senior lecturer at the university presides over or participates in compiling training books

Specifically, according to Article 7 of the Circular No. 40/2020/TT-BGDĐT of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, senior lecturers (class I) in public higher education institutions are responsible for presiding over or participating in the compilation of training books, chairing or participating in the implementation of programs and scientific research topics; directing scientific research for faculty and professional groups. Concurrently, senior lecturers (class I) also have the following duties:

- Teaching; guiding and grading projects and graduation theses; guiding master's theses, doctoral theses; chairing or participating in the evaluation committees of master's and doctoral theses;

- Presiding over the formulation and development of specialized training programs; proposing directions and measures for the development of the sector or major; proactively regularly updating scientific achievements in the formulation and development of training programs; innovating teaching methods and test methods to evaluate the learning and training results of learners;

- Presiding over or participating in the evaluation of scientific research projects and topics; organizing and presenting scientific reports at scientific conferences and seminars. Presiding over or participating in the acceptance and publication of scientific reports, research works, exchange of experiences contributing to the development of the faculty and major; participating in international cooperation activities and ensuring the quality of higher education;

- Organizing and guiding learners in scientific research; guiding learners in effective learning and research methods; detect the forte capacity of learners to organize training and fostering talents;

- Presiding over or participating in fostering and developing the teaching staff according to the professional development requirements of the faculty or major;

- Studying and fostering to raise the level of political theory, expertise, profession and teaching methods; participating in practical activities to improve the quality of training and scientific research;

- Participating in the management and work of the Party and mass organizations and performing other tasks in accordance with the organization and operation regulations of the public higher education institution and other relevant laws.
