Vietnam: Safety criteria for fresh and live feeds intended for use in aquaculture

This content is specified in Circular No. 07/2019/TT-BNNPTNT of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam promulgating the National technical regulation on aquaculture feed.

Safety criteria and maximum levels in fresh and live feeds (HS code 2309.90.90) intended for use in aquaculture are specified in the National technical regulation on aquaculture feed, Part 3: Fresh and live feeds, Code: QCVN 02-31-3 : 2019/BNNPTNT promulgated together with Circular No. 07/2019/TT-BNNPTNT of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam. Notably, the safety criteria and maximum levels in fresh and live feeds intended for use in aquaculture specified above applies to organizations and individuals involved in manufacturing and import of fresh and live feeds intended for use in aquaculture in Vietnam and does not apply to organizations and individuals that manufacture fresh and live feeds themselves for internal use.

Other provisions can be found in Circular No. 07/2019/TT-BNNPTNT of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, which takes effect from January 01, 2020.
