On December 28, 2018, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam issued Circular No. 45/2018/TT-BLDTBXH regulating the minimum knowledge requirements and capacity standards that learners must achieve upon graduating from intermediate and college levels in the fields of architectural technology, construction works, mechanics, electricity, electronics, telecommunications, and chemistry.
Specifically, Circular No. 45/2018/TT-BLDTBXH of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam stipulates the minimum knowledge requirements for the college-level and intermediate-level Mechanical Engineering as follows:
College-level Mechanical Engineering
- Being able to present the application of international standards in the field of mechanical engineering and machine manufacturing.
- Being able to explain material symbols according to Vietnamese standards (TCVN) and international standards such as China, the Soviet Union (GOCT), the United States (SAE, AISI), France (AFNOR), Germany (DIN), Japan (JIS), and the United Kingdom (BS).
- Being able to describe the properties and functions of metal materials, alloys, and non-metallic materials commonly used in industry.
- Being able to read drawings according to ISO standards.
- Being able to present the 5S and Kaizen standards in the workplace.
- Being able to Present the structure and operating principles of various machinery used in the manufacturing process.
- Analyzing the technical specifications of the manufacturing and installation processes of industrial mechanical equipment.
- Being able to present the structure diagrams and working principles of common and modern mechanical transmission mechanisms.
- Being able to select appropriate materials and equipment for manufacturing requirements.
- Being able to identify and prepare materials and equipment for the production process.
- Being able to create technological processes for mechanical equipment manufacturing and assembly based on technical documents.
- Being able to present basic knowledge of politics, culture, society, law, national defense and security, and physical education as required.
Intermediate-level Mechanical Engineering
- Being able to present the application of international standards in the field of mechanical engineering and machine manufacturing.
