Vietnam’s Circular No. 48/2015/TT-BCA: 03 requirements on firefighter clothing

Specifically, according to Article 3 of Circular No. 48/2015/TT-BCA of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, requirements on firefighter clothing include:

1. Ensure the unification, synchronism and conformity with requirements on firefighting activities of the night-watch forces, internal and professional fire prevention and fighting forces.

2. Facilitate the direction and cooperation between the firefighting forces.

3. Ensure quality, categories and models as regulated in this Circular.

Besides, Circular No. 48/2015/TT-BCA stipulates the composition and materials of firefighter helmets as follows:

The body is made of ABS synthetic resin; dimension is 296x237x183 mm; thickness is 04mm, with large impact capacity. There is a shell with square spine from the front to the back on the top of the helmet; two sides of the helmet body are protruded to protect the ears. The front of the helmet is attached by colorless Polycarbonate (PC) protective glass of 02 mm in thickness to protect the wearer from dust, wind and heat during the firefighting. There is polystyren of 20-mm thickness protective foam pad inside the helmet body to reduce the impact forces. The liner is 02 mm in thickness and made of poly fibre. The helmet strap and locks are strong and made of synthetic fibre and Acetic plastic to affix the helmet onto the head during the wearer’s movement; with the component to adjust the circumference of the helmet.
