This is a featured content of Circular No. 35/2013/TT-BNNPTNT of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam on temporary regulation for management of farming swifts.
Currently, in order to effectively manage swiftlet farming activities and ensure veterinary hygiene, disease safety, and environmental protection, it is mandatory for domestic organizations and individuals, as well as foreign organizations and individuals engaged in swiftlet farming in Vietnam, to strictly comply with the provisions of Circular No. 35/2013/TT-BNNPTNT of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam and relevant documents.
Specifically, the exploitation and preliminary process of nests shall be carried out as follows:
- Employees must have protective instruments and equipment when harvesting, processing and preserving nests so as to ensure labor safety and safety against epidemics.
- Places for preliminarily processing and preserving nests must be high, clean, isolated from houses for farming swifts, located at a far distance from places with risk of polluted environment and epidemics.
- Water for stages of preliminarily processing nests must ensure not affecting the quality of nests and health of consumers.
- There must be equipment for preliminarily processing and preserving nests that ensure hygiene and safety for products.
- Having effective measures to prevent other animals trespassing preliminary processing and maintain areas of nests.
- Process of preliminary processing, preserving nests must ensure product quality in accordance with current law.
