Vietnam’s Circular No. 03/2020/TT-BXD: Guidance on specification of architecture design dossier

According to Article 3 of Circular No. 03/2020/TT-BXD of the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam, specification of architecture design dossier is guided as follows:

- An architecture design dossier consists of drawings and explanation.

- Architecture design dossiers must satisfy following requirements:

+ Specification and sale of drawings must conform to National Standards TCVN 5671:2012 on construction design document – architecture design dossier system;

+ Name section of drawings must conform to National Standards TCVN 5571:2012 on construction design document – construction drawings – name section system.

- Individuals being responsible for architecture affairs of organizations, legal representatives or authorized persons must sign and provide stamps of design contractors as per the law.

- Design managers whose name is specified in design dossiers must:

+ Directly organize implementation of design tasks, have specialized knowledge, hold the highest responsibility for contents and quality of architecture designs and control other aspects to cooperate and agree with architecture aspect;

+ Be owner of architecture solutions or directly organize implementation of the owners’ concepts.

- Architecture designers whose name is specified in design dossiers must:

+ Be capable of taking charge designing construction architecture or taking charge appraising architecture design and be responsible for architecture design;

+ Take charge and be ready to act as design managers if authorized by design managers.
