On December 28, 2018, the Vietnam Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs issued Circular 46/2018/TT-BLDTBXH on the minimum knowledge and competencies required for graduates in materials, metallurgy, manufacturing, and other engineering technologies at intermediate and college levels.
Vietnam: Responsibilities required for graduates in thermal engineering technology
According to the regulation on minimum required knowledge and competencies that learners must achieve after graduating from the intermediate and college levels in the field of thermal engineering technology issued with Circular 46/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum level of autonomy and responsibility that learners must achieve after graduating with an intermediate degree in thermal engineering technology is as follows:
Perform tasks related to installation, operation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of residential and commercial refrigeration systems, industrial refrigeration, and air conditioning systems, ensuring correct techniques and safety;
Ensure that installation, operation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of system equipment meet technical requirements, minimizing negative impacts on the environment such as dust, noise, refrigerants, wastewater, etc.;
Take responsibility for the results of personal and teamwork before the leadership of agencies, organizations, and enterprises;
Comply with and enforce legal regulations and state policies in professional activities;
Strictly adhere to labor protection regulations, labor safety, and fire prevention and firefighting;
Have a learning and training spirit to improve professional qualifications and occupational skills.
