Vietnam: Requirements concerning status of terrestrial animal diseases

This content is specified in Circular No. 14/2016/TT-BNNPTNT of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural development of Vietnam providing for animal disease-free zones and establishments.

According to Circular No. 14/2016/TT-BNNPTNT of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural development of Vietnam, requirements concerning status of terrestrial animal diseases for issue of certificates of disease-free zones and establishments include:

- If an establishment applies for a new certificate of animal disease-free status, no case of disease covered by the claim of disease freedom occurred for at least 12 months preceding the date of application.

- If an establishment has an expired certificate of disease-free status as prescribed in Point a and Point d Clause 1 Article 47 hereof, or applies for re-issuance of certificate of disease-free status, no clinical case of disease from which it has been certified to be free occurs at the date of application.

- If an establishment has an expired certificate of disease-free status as prescribed in Point b and Point c Clause 1 Article 47 hereof, no case of disease from which it has been certified to be free occurred within 03 months after the last infected animal has been properly handled or recovered.
