Vietnam: Required knowledge for graduates from the Air-condition and climate technology, Level 4 of VQF - Illustration Image

According to the Regulation on requirements regarding the minimum volume of knowledge and competencies for graduates at the intermediate level and college level in electrical, electronic and telecommunication engineering issued with Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the required knowledge for graduates from the Air-condition and climate technology, Level 4 of VQF in Vietnam are as follows:

- Be able to present regulations and standards on technical drawings;

- Be able to present the basic contents of safety standards, industrial hygiene, fire and explosion prevention in the execution of Air-condition and climate technology jobs;

- Understand methods and processes for greening when performing jobs in the profession;

- Be able to present methods and processes for installing and operating industrial, commercial, and civil air conditioning systems, ensuring safety and meeting technical requirements;

- Describe the types of equipment and tools and analyze the functions of each piece of equipment and tool in the Air-condition and climate technology profession;

- Be able to present methods and processes for installing and operating local and central air conditioning systems, ensuring safety and meeting technical requirements;

- Be able to present methods and processes for maintaining and servicing refrigeration systems, ensuring safety and meeting technical requirements;

- Analyze mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration failures in air conditioning systems;

- Analyze common electronic control failures in refrigeration systems;

- Know methods for updating technical documents related to the profession;

- Present the working principles and usage of the main tools and equipment used in the profession;

- Be able to present the method for calculating cooling loads, select, and preliminarily design the electrical-refrigeration system of small-capacity air conditioning units;

- Be able to present the regulations in work acceptance and handover;

- Be able to present basic knowledge of politics, culture, society, law, national defense, security, and physical education according to regulations.
