This is an important content of the Circular No. 51/2011/TT-BGDĐT on national periodic assessment of student learning results in general education institutions, issued by the Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam on November 03, 2011.
According to the Circular No. 51/2011/TT-BGDĐT of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, the process of organizing student assessment is prescribed as follows:
The national periodic assessments will be carried out according to the following process:
1. Establish the National Assessment Steering Committee.
2. Develop an Overall Outline.
3. Develop an assessment plan.
4. Build a database to select assessment samples.
5. Choose the prototype and the official assessment sample.
6. Design, test, validate, and refine assessment tools.
7. Professional training for members participating in the assessment.
8. Organize the official assessment.
9. Grading, data entry and data cleaning.
10. Processing and analyzing data.
11. Write the summary report.
12. Review and finalize the summary report.
13. Workshop to report the results of the assessment.
14. Collect feedback on assessment results.
Specifically, teachers can choose from one of the following two assessment tools:
- Sets of questions and test questions assessing the results of the subjects of the students.
- Questionnaires to collect information.
Funds for conducting periodical national assessment of students in general education institutions are used from the State's funding and support sources of domestic and foreign organizations and individuals in accordance with provisions of the Law on State Budget and other relevant current regulations.
