Under Article 5 of Circular 06/2015/TT-BVHTTDL, the procedures for permission for the use of military weapons, hunting guns, sports weapons, explosives, and combat gears that are still functional and effective as props in Vietnam are as follows:

Application submission methods: The agency or organization engaged in cultural and artistic activities submits directly or sends by post one (01) set of documents to the receiving authority.

The receiving authority: The supervisory authority or the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism/Department of Culture and Sports.

The application includes:

- An application form for permission for the use of military weapons/hunting guns/sports weapons/explosives/combat gears as props according to form No. 02 issued with this Circular;

- A certified true copy of the decision to establish or business registration certificate of the cultural and artistic activity agency or organization;

- The film script or the content of the performance program.

The time limit for processing the application: Within five (05) working days from the date of receiving a complete and valid application, the supervisory authority or the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism/Department of Culture and Sports shall review and issue a written response regarding the permission for use; in case of disapproval, must provide a written response stating the reasons.

Note: The cultural and artistic activity agency or organization is responsible for contacting the General Police Bureau or provincial Police Department to organize the use of military weapons, hunting guns, sports weapons, explosives, and combat gears that are still functional and effective as props after receiving the approval document regarding implementation.

Details are regulated in Circular 06/2015/TT-BVHTTDL effective from September 01, 2015.
