According to Article 5 of the 2020 Ordinance on preferential treatment given to people with meritorious services to the revolution of Vietnam, varying based on the subject, people with meritorious services to the revolution and their families are entitled to the following primary preferential benefits:
Monthly allowance, monthly subsidy, lump-sum allowance;

On June 25, 2024, the President of Vietnam issued Decision 590/QD-CTN regarding gifting on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024).
Gifts are given to people with meritorious services to the revolution on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024), specifically as follows:
* Gift of VND 600,000:
(1) Individuals who contributed to the revolution:

Heroic Vietnamese mothers receiving monthly preferential allowances and those who have been awarded the title of Heroic Vietnamese mother before July 28, 2024, but have not completed the procedures to receive monthly preferential allowances.
War invalids, individuals receiving policies equivalent to war invalids, category B war invalids, and sick soldiers with a body impairment rate of 81% or more receiving monthly preferential allowances.
Individuals involved in resistance activities exposed to chemical toxins with a body impairment rate of 81% or more receiving monthly preferential allowances.
Relatives of martyrs receiving monthly caregiving subsidies; relatives of two or more martyrs receiving monthly subsidies.
(2) Gift of VND 300,000:
Individuals who contributed to the revolution:
War invalids, individuals receiving policies equivalent to war invalids, category B war invalids, sick soldiers with a body impairment rate of 80% or less receiving monthly preferential allowances. War invalids receiving loss of labor capacity benefits.
Individuals involved in resistance activities exposed to chemical toxins with a body impairment rate of 80% or less receiving monthly preferential allowances.
Representatives of martyrs' relatives.
Individuals worshipping martyrs (in cases where the martyr has no relatives).
