On October 26, 2009, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree 94/2009/ND-CP on elaboration of Law on prevention and control of narcotic substances regarding post-rehabilitation management in Vietnam.

Under Article 3 of Decree 94/2009/ND-CP, the duration, age, and statute of limitations of the enforcement of the decision on taking post-rehabilitation management in Vietnam are as follows:
The duration of post-rehabilitation management for those who have completed the mandatory rehabilitation period is from one to two years. Based on the nature and extent of the high risk of relapse, the Chairpersons of District People's Committees decide the duration of post-rehabilitation management for each case.
Post-rehabilitation management does not apply to females aged over 55 and males aged over 60.
The statute of limitations for enforcing the decision on taking post-rehabilitation management is one year from the date of signing the decision. Where the person subject to post-rehabilitation management intentionally avoids enforcement, the above statute of limitations will be recalculated from the date on which the evasion ceases.
Additionally, the Decree also stipulates the funding for post-rehabilitation management in Vietnam as follows:
- State budget according to state budget allocation under the Law on State Budget;
- Contributions from individuals or families of those subject to post-rehabilitation management;
- Revenues from labor production, services of the Center;
- Aids and donations from domestic and foreign organizations and individuals, and other lawful revenues.
