Development goals for Binh Duong province of Vietnam by 2030

* General Objectives

By 2030, Binh Duong will become a city under the Central Government; one of the dynamic and comprehensive development centers in Southeast Asia; leading in science, technology, and innovation, a center for modern industrial services; with economic-social infrastructure systems and urban systems developed synchronously, modernly, intelligent, sustainably according to the green growth model, adaptable to climate change, with protected ecological environment. Improve the quality of life of people, build a prosperous, civilized modern society; ensure national defense - security and social order and safety.

* Specific Objectives

- In terms of economy:

+ The average economic growth rate for the period 2021-2030 will reach about 10% per year, the average GRDP per capita by 2030 will reach about 15,800 USD;

+ Economic structure by 2030: industry and construction sector will account for 64%; service sector will account for 28%; agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector will account for 2%; product tax minus product subsidies will account for 6%;

+ Urbanization rate will be 88-90%;

+ The proportion of the digital economy will reach 30% of GRDP.

- In terms of society:

+ Population by 2030 will reach 4.04 million people (of which the official population is 3.48 million people; converted population is 0.56 million people);

+ The rate of trained labor will reach over 87%, of which those with degrees will be 40%;

+ The rate of schools meeting national standards will reach over 80%;

+ Number of doctors per 10,000 people will reach 19 doctors; 35 beds per 10,000 people;

+ The rate of population participating in health insurance will be over 95%;

+ The rate of poor households according to the new multidimensional poverty standard will be below 1.0%.

- In terms of resources and environment:

+ The rate of collection and treatment of domestic solid waste in urban areas will reach 99% and in rural areas will reach 95%;

+ Industrial solid waste, hazardous solid waste will be collected and treated to ensure environmental standards reach 100%;

+ The rate of urban wastewater collection and treatment will reach 60%; the rate of wastewater in industrial parks and clusters being collected and treated will reach 100%;

+ The rate of population supplied with clean water will reach 100% for urban areas, with a striving target of 80% for rural areas.

- The next-generation mobile network will be deployed to ensure quality coverage of 4G, 5G in 100% of residential areas and implement some areas with the next-generation mobile coverage.

- Ensure firm national defense - security; maintain political stability, social order, and safety; expand and enhance the effectiveness of foreign affairs and international integration. Build an orderly, disciplined, secure, safe, and civilized society.

Directions for the development of the industrial sector of Binh Duong province of Vietnam

The industry will continue to be the main growth driver, focusing on modernizing existing sectors, increasing the localization rate in supporting industries, and developing high-tech industries to participate in the global value chain such as machinery, industrial equipment; telecommunication electronic devices; remote control; integrated circuits, electronic chips, new materials; industrial and chemical engineering; pharmaceuticals and cosmetic chemicals... Develop an ecological, modern industry, applying high technology; position the processing and manufacturing industry as the main pillar of the economy.

Modernize and optimize trade efficiency for existing industrial sectors: focus on sectors that Binh Duong has mastered, improve production efficiency through industrial modernization solutions and commercial efficiency optimization solutions.

Increase the localization rate by continuing to strongly develop supporting industries based on breakthrough policies in attracting investors, institutional preferential policies, and supporting infrastructure. Aim for more and more products bearing the Binh Duong brand, with high competitive value in the international market.
