Vietnam: Permissible levels of natural mineral products intended for environmental treatment in aquaculture

Recently, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam issued Circular No. 08/2019/TT-BNNPTNT on promulgation of the National technical regulation on environmental treating products in aquaculture.

Permissible levels of natural mineral products intended for environmental treatment in aquaculture are specified in Table 2 of the National technical regulation on environmental treating products in aquaculture Part 1: Chemical, biological products. Code: QCVN 02-32 - 1: 2019/BNNPTNT promulgated together with Circular No. 08/2019/TT-BNNPTNT of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam. To be specific:

Other natural mineral products on the List of chemicals, biological products, microorganisms and ingredients in aquaculture feed permitted for use in aquaculture in Vietnam must comply with the maximum levels set out in Table 2.

Permissible levels of biological products intended for environmental treatment in aquaculture are also specified in Table 3, specifically as follows:

* Regarding microbiological preparations that contain multiple species that share the same genus name, the average number of beneficial organisms must be ≥ 106CFU/g (or ml).

Enzyme preparations, preparations extracted from microorganisms and mixed preparations must comply with the maximum levels set out in Table 3.

Other provisions can be found in Circular No. 08/2019/TT-BNNPTNT of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, which takes effect from January 01, 2020.
