Vietnam: People who directly served in the election will be paid a stipend

According to Clause 5 Article 3 of the Circular No. 102/2020/TT-BTC of the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam, allowances for those who directly served in the election is distributed as follows:

- Monthly allowances shall be applied to the following subjects:

+ The President, Vice Presidents of the National Election Council; Head of Sub-Committees of National Election Council: 2,200,000 VND/person/month.

+ Members of the National Election Council; Deputy Heads of Sub-Committees, members of Sub-Committees; Chief and Deputy Chief of Office of National Election Council; Standing Office of National Election Council: 2,000,000 VND/person/month.

+ Member of the Office of the National Election Council; members of the assisting groups of the National Election Council Office: 1,800,000 VND/person/month.

The period of enjoying the allowance regime for election work is counted from the effective time of Resolution No. 118/2020/QH14 dated June 19, 2020 of the National Assembly of Vietnam on the establishment of the National Election Council and Resolution No. 04/2020/HĐBCQG dated September 16, 2020 of the National Election Council until the National Electoral Council ends its duties. In case a person performs many different tasks, only the highest level of allowance will be given. The list of expenses shall comply with the Resolutions and Decisions on establishment already approved by competent authorities.

- Objects mobilized and requisitioned directly for the election (other than those who have been mobilized and summoned to participate in sub-committees, assisting groups of the Office of the National Election Council) shall receive 100,000 VND/person/day; the time for enjoying the allowances shall not exceed 15 days (excluding the days of participating in the inspection and supervision team; directly serving the people and settling complaints and denunciations about the election, the day before the election and election day); in case the time for mobilizing and requisitioning directly for the election is more than 15 days, allowances shall be paid according to the maximum expenditure level: 1,500,000 VND/person/month on the basis of decisions and documents on mobilization and requisition approved by competent authorities.

- Particularly for 02 days (the day before the election and the election day): Allownce is 150,000 VND/person/day, applicable to all forces directly participating in the election; the list of subjects entitled to the allowances regime according to decisions and documents approved by competent authorities.
