Recently, the Government of Vietnam has issued the Decree No. 90/2017/NĐ-CP on penalties for administrative violations against regulations on veterinary medicine.
According to Article 38 of the Decree No. 90/2017/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government, fines for violations against requirements for import of veterinary drugs and veterinary drug ingredients ar specified as follows:
- A fine ranging from VND 4,000,000 to VND 5,000,000 shall be imposed for any of the following violations:
+ Fail to satisfy requirements for location;
+ The manager fails to have a veterinary practicing certificate or uses an expired one;
+ Erase or alter contents of the Certificate of eligibility to import veterinary drugs.
- A fine ranging from VND 6,000,000 to VND 8,000,000 shall be imposed for any of the following violations:
+ Fail to have equipment, i.e. ventilation fans, air conditioning systems, thermometers or hygrometers, etc., conformable to the preservation of drugs;
+ Keep veterinary drugs/ veterinary drug ingredients inconsistently with the preservation instructions stated in the drug label;
+ Fail to have separate warehouse, standby generator or equipment conformable to the preservation instructions stated in the drug label;
+ Use the vehicle that fails to meet the preservation requirements to transport vaccines;
+ Fail to have documents on quality control and supervision of dispatching/warehousing of each type of veterinary drugs.
- A fine ranging from VND 10,000,000 to VND 15,000,000 shall be imposed for any of the following violations:
+ Fail to obtain a Certificate of eligibility to import veterinary drugs;
+ Use an expired Certificate of eligibility to import veterinary drugs.
