What is C/O?

C/O (certificate of origin) is an important document in import and export. C/O indicates the origin of goods produced in a particular territory or country.

The term in English is "Certificate of Origin," often abbreviated as "C/O."

C/O creates favorable conditions for goods when imported into another country (an importing country) in terms of tariffs.

What is C/O used for?

C/O is used for the following purposes:

- Tariff preferences: When determining the origin of goods, it will help distinguish imported goods enjoying preferential treatment.

- Application of anti-dumping and price subsidies

The identification of origin makes anti-dumping actions and the imposition of anti-subsidy duties possible.

- Trade statistics and maintaining a quota system
