Vietnam: Not charging for re-issuing the environmental protection qualification certificate that is still valid but lost or damaged

This is a notable content in Circular 62/2017/TT-BTC of the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam stipulating the rates of collection, policies for collection, payment, management, and use of the fee for confirming environmental protection eligibility in importing scrap as production materials.

Specifically, Circular 62 stipulates that when reissuing a valid certificate that has been lost or damaged, no fee will be charged. The fee rates in other cases are as follows:

  1. In case an organization or individual entrusts the import of scrap materials for production:

- Organizations or individuals entrusted with the import that have storage facilities: 20 million VND/application.

- Organizations or individuals entrusted with the import that do not have storage facilities: 12 million VND/application.

  1. In case an organization or individual directly uses imported scrap materials for production:

- Certificate issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment
