Vietnam: List of measuring instruments, metrological control measures, and measuring instrument inspection intervals

Recently, the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam has issued Circular No. 23/2013/TT-BKHCN on Group 2 measuring instruments.

According to Vietnam’s current regulations, Group 2 measuring instruments are measuring instruments used for quantifying goods and services during the process of selling, buying, and payment; assurance of safety, public health, and environmental safety; inspection, judicial investigation, and other tasks that need controlling according to technical metrological requirements in current Vietnam’s metrological documents.

The List of measuring instruments, metrological control measures, and measuring instrument inspection intervals promulgated in Circular No. 23/2013/TT-BKHCN of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam is as follows:

Where:

- “x” indicates mandatory tasks;

- “-” indicates optional tasks.

Note: When using measuring instruments not mentioned in Clause 1 of this Article for the purpose of inspection, judicial investigation, or other tasks of the State, such measuring instruments must be inspected and calibrated at the request of competent state authority; type approval is not required.
