Vietnam: List of compulsory vaccines used in the Expanded Program on Immunization from January 01, 2018

On October 17, 2017, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam issued Circular No. 38/2017/TT-BYT regulating the List of compulsory vaccines used in the Expanded Program on Immunization from January 01, 2018.

The List of infectious diseases and compulsory vaccines used in the Expanded Program on Immunization provided by Circular No. 38/2017/TT-BYT of the Ministry of Health of Vietnam is as follows:

Single-antigen tetanus vaccines

Pregnant women

1. Those that have not been given injections or have the unclear history of vaccination or have not yet received 3 injections of vaccines containing standard-dose tetanus vaccine antigens

- First dose: Early injection during the first pregnancy

- Second dose: At least 1 month after first dose

- Third dose: At least 6 months after second dose or during the next pregnancy

- Fourth dose: At least 1 year after third dose or during the next pregnancy

- Fifth dose: At least 1 year after fourth dose or during the next pregnancy

2. Those who have been given 3 injections of vaccines containing standard-dose tetanus vaccine antigens:

- First dose: Early injection during the first pregnancy

- Second dose: At least 1 month after first dose

- Third dose: At least 1 year after second dose

3. Those who have been given 3 dose injections of vaccines containing standard-dose tetanus vaccine antigens and 1 repeated dose injection:

- First dose: Early injection during the first pregnancy

- Second dose: At least 1 year after first dose

Multiple-antigen orally administered polio vaccines
