Circular 54/2018/TT-BLDTBXH of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs of Vietnam on the minimum knowledge volume and required competencies for graduates from intermediate (Level 4 of VQF) and college (Level 5 of VQF) levels in health and social service sectors will come into force from February 10, 2019.
Vietnam: Level of autonomy and job positions for graduates of Medical Imaging Equipment Engineering, Level 4 of VQF - Illustrative Image
According to the regulation on the minimum knowledge volume and required competencies for graduates from intermediate and college levels in Medical Imaging Equipment Engineering issued together with Circular 54/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the basic level of autonomy and accountability for graduates of Medical Imaging Equipment Engineering, Level 4 of VQF in Vietnam are as follows:
- Work independently or in a team under changing work conditions, cooperate with colleagues in performing tasks and resolving real-life situations when guided;
- Perform tasks with a high sense of responsibility, precision, and meticulousness, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene;
- Be capable of resolving tasks or promptly reporting when there are changes required in the working environment;
- Evaluate the quality of maintenance and repair processes after completing the tasks performed by team members.
Additionally, graduates of Medical Imaging Equipment Engineering, Level 4 of VQFin Vietnam have the competencies to meet the requirements for job positions in the industry, including:
- Installing, operating, maintaining, and repairing X-ray machines;
- Installing, operating, maintaining, and repairing X-ray film processors;
- Installing, operating, maintaining, and repairing X-ray film printers;
- Installing, operating, maintaining, and repairing X-ray machines (C-Arm);
- Installing, operating, maintaining digital X-ray machines;
- Installing, operating, maintaining, and repairing CT scanners;
- Installing, operating, maintaining and repairing angiography machines (DSA);
- Installing, operating, maintaining, and repairing ultrasound machines.
