Recently, the Government of Vietnam has issued the Decree No. 90/2017/NĐ-CP on penalties for administrative violations against regulations on veterinary medicine.
According to Article 41 of the Decree No. 90/2017/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government, fines for violations against procedures for veterinary practice are specified as follows:
- A fine ranging from VND 4,000,000 to VND 5,000,000 shall be imposed for erasing or altering the contents of the veterinary practicing certificate.
- A fine ranging from VND 5,000,000 to VND 6,000,000 shall be imposed for leasing, renting or borrowing the veterinary practicing certificate.
- A fine ranging from VND 6,000,000 to VND 7,000,000 shall be imposed for failing to have veterinary practicing certificates or using expired ones when practicing in inoculation, treatment, surgery of animals; examination, diagnosis, testing on animals; consultation on activities relating to veterinary medicine.
- A fine ranging from VND 7,000,000 to VND 8,000,000 shall be imposed for providing false information or forging documents in the application for the veterinary practicing certificate.
In addition, confiscating documents, papers and the veterinary practicing certificate if any of the following violations:
- Erasing or altering the contents of the veterinary practicing certificate.
- Leasing, renting or borrowing the veterinary practicing certificate.
- Providing false information or forging documents in the application for the veterinary practicing certificate.
