Vietnam: Knowledge required for graduates from intermediate-level pesticide production (Illustration Image)

According to the regulations issued with Circular 21/2019/TT-BLDTBXH, the knowledge required for graduates from intermediate-level pesticide production in Vietnam includes:

- Be able to present the characteristics and properties of active ingredients and materials used in the production of chemical pesticides;

- Describe the development characteristics and effects of bacteria and fungi used to produce biological pesticides;

- Be able to present methods of producing chemical and biological pesticides that meet technical standards;

- Be able to present the formulation and mixing process for producing each type of chemical and biological pesticide;

- List the components of materials and the quantification for producing each type of pesticide;

- Be able to present the steps for inspecting, and operating the production line, and machinery, and handling incidents in the production and packaging of pesticides;

- Describe methods for testing and ensuring pesticide quality;

- Be able to present the operation, repair, and maintenance process of the waste treatment system in pesticide production;

- Identify safety regulations during the operation of pesticide production equipment;

- Be able to present methods for promoting, marketing, and advancing the sale of pesticide products;

- Be able to present basic knowledge of politics, culture, society, law, national defense and security, and physical education as prescribed.

Additionally, graduates from intermediate-level pesticide production in Vietnam must acquire the following skills:

- Perform assigned tasks according to the production plan;

- Receive materials and ingredients accurately as listed and in quantities according to the production order;

- Cultivate and harvest bacterial and fungal products for producing biological pesticides;

- Execute the technical steps of formulating and mixing to produce various types of chemical, biological, and herbal pesticides;

- Operate the production and packaging line and machinery for pesticides;

- Sample for inspection to ensure pesticide production quality according to standards;

- Operate the waste treatment system in pesticide production;

- Use basic information technology as prescribed; utilize and apply information technology in specialized tasks;

- Use basic foreign language skills, achieving level 1/6 in the Vietnamese Foreign Language Proficiency Framework; apply foreign language in the specialized tasks.

Note: Graduates must have good moral character and correct awareness about the profession, have cooperative attitudes with colleagues, respect the law and workplace regulations; be honest and highly disciplined, capable of working independently, and in groups, and be ready to take on assigned tasks; able to solve pesticide production tasks under changing working conditions; supervise colleagues in performing established tasks, assuming personal and partial group responsibility within assigned tasks; able to evaluate the quality and results of their work and their group after completing assigned tasks; have a sense of environmental protection and public health protection during task execution.
