Circular 54/2018/TT-BLDTBXH of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs of Vietnam on the minimum knowledge volume and required competencies for graduates from intermediate (Level 4 of VQF) and college (Level 5 of VQF) levels in health and social service sectors will come into force from February 10, 2019.

According to the regulation on the minimum knowledge volume and required competencies for graduates from intermediate and college levels in Traditional Medicine issued together with Circular 54/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, graduates of Traditional Medicine, Level 5 of VQFin Vietnam have the competencies to meet the requirements for job positions in the industry, including:
- Medical examination and prescription of traditional medicine;
- Dispensing traditional medicine;
- Acupuncture;
- Massage - acupressure;
- Guiding physical exercise;
- Processing medicinal herbs;
- Trading traditional medicine;
- Practicing traditional medicine in commune (ward) health stations;
- Practicing traditional medicine clinics.
Additionally, the minimum knowledge volume and required competencies for graduates of Traditional Medicine, Level 5 of VQFin Vietnamcan further develop at higher levels. Graduates may self-learn and self-update scientific and technological advancements within the major to improve their competency or pursue further qualifications within the same industry, group of industries or related training field.
