According to the regulation on the minimum knowledge volume and required competencies for graduates from intermediate and college levels in Aquaculture in brackish water and saltwater issued together with Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, graduates of Aquaculture in brackish water and saltwater, Level 5 of VQF in Vietnam have the competencies to meet the requirements for job positions in the industry, including:

- Production of crustacean seed;

- Production of marine fish seed;

- Production of mollusk seed;

- Production of aquaculture feed;

- Disease prevention and treatment for aquatic animals;

- Seaweed cultivation;

- Marine shrimp farming;

- Marine fish farming;

- Mollusk farming;

- Business in aquaculture commodities and services.

Additionally, the minimum knowledge volume and required competencies for graduates of Aquaculture in brackish water and saltwater, Level 5 of VQF in Vietnam can further develop at higher levels.
