According to the Regulation on requirements regarding the minimum volume of knowledge and competencies for graduates at the intermediate level and college level in electrical, electronic and telecommunication engineering issued with Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the Telecommunication station installation technology, Level 5 of VQF Advanced is a business line in which practitioners operate 2G, 3G, 4G mobile networks, configure Switch, Router, GPON, etc., analyze, design, install, maintain, and repair mobile broadcasting station systems, meeting the Level 5 of VQF Advanced.

Practitioners of Telecommunication station installation technology shall undertake the following job positions: installing infrastructure for telecommunications stations; installing transmission for telecommunications stations; installing telecommunications equipment for telecommunications stations; maintaining telecommunications stations; repairing telecommunications stations; analyzing and designing network systems; installing network systems; and maintaining network systems.

Minimum knowledge volume: 2,500 hours (equivalent to 90 credits).

Note: Graduates will have the competence to meet the requirements in job positions of the business line, including:

- Installing infrastructure for telecommunications stations;- Installing transmission for telecommunications stations;

- Installing telecommunications equipment for telecommunications stations;

- Maintaining telecommunications stations;

- Repairing telecommunications stations;

- Analyzing and designing network systems;

- Installing network systems;

- Maintaining network systems.

Additionally, the ability to study and improve qualifications for learners is specified as follows:

- The requirements regarding the minimum volume of knowledge and competencies for graduates from the Telecommunication station installation technology, Level 5 of VQF Advanced can continue to develop at higher levels;

- Graduates must have the capability of self-learning, self-updating scientific and technological advancements within the field to improve their qualifications or pursue higher education in the same business line or major.

Detailed regulations are in Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH effective from February 10, 2019.
