Recently, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs of Vietnam promulgated Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH on the minimum knowledge volume and required competencies for graduates from intermediate (Level 4 of VQF) and college (Level 5 of VQF) levels in mechanical engineering sectors.
Vietnam: Introduction to Mechanical equipment assembly, Level 4 of VQF - Illustrative Image
According to the regulation on the minimum knowledge volume and required competencies for graduates from intermediate and college levels in mechanical equipment assembly issued together with Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, Mechanical equipment assembly, Level 4 of VQF is a profession where practitioners assembly projects and plants such as thermal power plants, hydroelectric power plants, oil refineries, drilling rigs, cement plants, etc. The installed equipment includes profile steel, equipment clusters, and industrial production line systems, meeting requirements for Level 4 in the Vietnam National Qualifications Framework.
Practitioners in Mechanical equipment assembly in Vietnam may work independently or in groups with tasks involving the assembly and alignment of mechanical equipment both in factories and on-site; assembly of production line systems such as steel rolling lines, welding robot lines, stamping forming lines; assembly of profile steel equipment such as industrial building frames, conveyor frames, supports; assembly of material containment equipment such as tanks, reservoirs, dust filtering equipment, hoppers; assembly of circular pipes such as water supply pipes, fire protection pipes, oil supply pipes, and gas supply pipes; assembly of square and rectangular pipes such as ventilation systems, dust extraction, air conditioning, steam conduits and gas conduits; assembly, disassembly, and maintenance of mechanical drive units and joints. Additionally, practitioners in Mechanical equipment assembly in Vietnam can manufacture jigs that aid the assembly process, pre-assemble mechanical detail clusters in factories, transport products to the site, and complete assembly work.
