Vietnam: Introduction to Construction Materials Engineering, Level 5 of VQF

On December 28, 2018, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam issued Circular 46/2018/TT-BLD-TBXH on the minimum knowledge volume and required competencies for graduates from intermediate (Level 4 of VQF) and college (Level 5 of VQF) levels in materials, metallurgy, production, and other technical technologies.

According to the regulation on the minimum knowledge volume and required competencies for graduates from intermediate and college levels in construction materials engineering issued together with Circular 46/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, Construction Materials Engineering, Level 5 of VQF is a profession that involves the manufacturing of silicate material products serving the civil and industrial construction sectors. These include main product lines such as bricks, tiles, fired clay, ceramic bricks, sanitary ware, construction glass, cement, and concrete, meeting the requirements of level 5 in the Vietnamese National Qualification Framework.

Individuals working in construction materials engineering must possess the knowledge and skills to perform tasks such as "material processing, shaping, decorating, thermal processing, classification, packaging, and quality control of products."

The main tasks in the industry are: Monitoring raw materials, operating, and supervising the manufacturing process.

Graduates of the Construction Materials Engineering, Level 5 of VQF in Vietnam can work at construction materials manufacturing companies, construction companies, specialized LAS and VILAS laboratories for construction materials, construction materials inspection rooms, State agencies, political and social organizations related to the Construction Materials field, or teach at training institutions in Construction Materials...

The minimum amount of knowledge required is 2,150 hours (equivalent to 85 credits).
