On December 28, 2018, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs of Vietnam issued Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH on the minimum knowledge volume and required competencies for graduates from intermediate (Level 4 of VQF) and college (Level 5 of VQF) levels in agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and veterinary.

According to the regulation on the minimum knowledge volume and required competencies for graduates from intermediate and college levels in Aquaculture in brackish water and saltwater issued together with Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, Aquaculture in brackish water and saltwater, Level 4 of VQF in Vietnam is a profession that involves tasks such as breeding production, aquaculture of groups of aquatic species (fish, crustaceans, mollusks, algae) that are adapted to saltwater, brackish water environments, meeting the requirements of level 4 in the Vietnam National Qualifications Framework.
The main tasks of this profession include: the breeding production of crustaceans, marine fish, and mollusks; the production of aquatic feed; prevention and treatment of aquatic animal diseases; breeding of marine shrimp, marine fish, seaweed, and mollusks; trading in aquatic products and services.
Graduates of Aquaculture in brackish water and saltwater, Level 4 of VQF in Vietnam are capable of holding technical positions in aquatic feed production plants, breeding production farms, aquaculture areas, saltwater, brackish water aquaculture farms of agencies, businesses related to the aquatic sector, or self-establishing and operating their own breeding farms, aquaculture systems for themselves and their families.
The minimum knowledge volume is 1400 hours (equivalent to 50 credits).
