Vietnam: Guidelines for assessing the results of the vocational skills test for national defense workers

According to Article 6 of the Circular No. 142/2020/TT-BQP of the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam, the evaluation of the results of the test of occupational skills for national defense workers is guided as follows:

- In case of applying the 10-point scale:

+ Good: From 8.0 points to 10 points;

+ Rather good: From 6.5 points to less than 8.0 points;

+ Average (called satisfied): From 5.0 points to less than 6.5 points;

+ Failed: Less than 5.0 points.

- In case the 10-point scale is not applied, the Vocational Skills Examination Council shall decide to choose one of the following methods to recognize the results:

+ Convert the results of the theoretical test scores or the results of the practical tests to a 10-point scale to classify assessments according to Clause 1 of this Article;

+ Apply assessment of results according to the grading regulations of a number of civil industries and occupations promulgated by competent state agencies.

- In case the result is from 4 points to less than 5 points on the theory test, but the practical test scores 7.5 points or more, it will be considered and recognized as satisfied.

Based on the assessment of the test results, the Chairman of the Council for Examination of Vocational Skills Qualifications shall decide to recognize the results for technical staff with satisfactory results or higher and request the competent authority to issue certificates of new vocational skills.
