Vietnam: Guidance on certificate of conformity of building materials before January 01, 2018
Circular No. 10/2017/TT-BXD was issued by the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam promulgating National Technical Regulations, promulgating products and goods of building materials QCVN 16:2017/BXD, and guidelines for certificate of conformity and declaration of conformity.

According to Circular No. 10/2017/TT-BXD of the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam, in order for the implementation of regulations on regulation conformity announcement to be continuous and effective:
- A holder of a certificate of conformity issued in accordance with QCVN 16:2014/BXD before January 01, 2018 may use the certificate of conformity and respective conformity marking until the certificate expires.
- A designated certification body of building materials in accordance with QCVN 16:2014/BXD may keep performing its duties until January 01, 2018; if its decision on designation expires after the issuance of this Circular, an extension may be granted provided that it does not go beyond January 01, 2018.
- A body that has held a designation of certification of conformity of building materials in accordance with QCVN 16:2014/BXD, according to its needs and competence in accordance with QCVN 16:2017/BXD, may submit an application to the Ministry of Construction for consideration.
