Circular 80/2008/TT-BTC stipulates the granting support of the funding for the prevention and control of livestock and poultry diseases to farm owners in Vietnam as follows:

- Households, individuals, farms, cooperatives, and livestock and poultry facilities of the central authorities, localities, and military units that are required to compulsorily destroy the diseased livestock and poultry or livestock and poultry in areas where livestock and poultry disease occurs shall receive the support amount equivalent to 70% of the market value of commercial livestock and poultry sold by producers.

The specific support amounts are as follows:

- 25,000 VND/kg live weight for pigs.

- 30,000 VND/kg live weight for buffaloes, cows, goats, sheep, deer, and antelopes

- 23,000 VND/per poultry (chicken, duck, muscovy duck, goose).

- Based on the support amounts stipulated at Point a, Clause 1, Section II of this Circular and the weight of each type of livestock and poultry to be destroyed, the Chairman of the People's Committee of the provinces and municipalities shall decide on the specific support amount for households, individuals, farms, cooperatives, and livestock and poultry facilities of the central authorities, localities, and military units in the provinces and municipalities in line with the actual situation as soon as possible.

- Livestock and poultry facilities of households, individuals, farms, cooperatives, and local livestock and poultry facilities must have certification by local authorities and local veterinary authorities (regarding the type, quantity, and weight of destroyed livestock and poultry) as a basis for payment. Certification by local veterinary authorities (regarding the type, quantity, and weight of destroyed livestock and poultry) is required for livestock and poultry facilities of central authorities and military units.
