Vietnam: Expansion of Quang Yen township under Yen Hung district of Quang Ninh province from July 07, 2006 (Illustration)

Decree 58/2006/ND-CP adjusts the administrative boundaries of Yen Hung district and Uong Bi town and expands Quang Yen township in Yen Hung district, Quang Ninh province as follows:

- Adjust the entire natural area (1,272.25 ha) and population (1,726 inhabitants) of Dien Cong commune, Yen Hung district to Uong Bi town for management.

- Expand Quang Yen township by adjusting 126.0 ha of the natural area and 1,725 inhabitants of Yen Giang commune; 397.6 ha of the natural area and 3,442 inhabitants of Cong Hoa commune to Quang Yen township for management.

- Quang Yen township has 627.8 ha of natural area and 14,290 inhabitants.

Thus, after adjusting the administrative boundaries:

- Yen Giang commune retains 356.1 ha of the natural area and 2,575 inhabitants.

- Cong Hoa commune retains 810.2 ha of the natural area and 7,693 inhabitants.

- Uong Bi town has 25,313.55 ha of natural area and 97,975 inhabitants, with 11 administrative units including the wards: Thanh Son, Bac Son, Quang Trung, Vang Danh, Trung Vuong, Nam Khe, Yen Thanh, and the communes: Thuong Yen Cong, Phuong Dong, Phuong Nam, Dien Cong.- Yen Hung district retains 31,919.34 ha of the natural area and 135,472 inhabitants, with 19 administrative units including Quang Yen township and the communes: Minh Thanh, Dong Mai, Song Khoai, Cong Hoa, Tien An, Tan An, Hoang Tan, Ha An, Hiep Hoa, Yen Giang, Nam Hoa, Yen Hai, Cam La, Phong Coc, Phong Hai, Lien Hoa, Lien Vi, Tien Phong.
