This is a notable content in Circular 53/2012/TT-BGDDT regulating the organization, use of email, and web portals at the Department of Education and Training (DOET), Division of Education and Training, and educational institutions at the preschool, general education, and continuing education levels in Vietnam, issued on December 20, 2012.
Vietnam: Equipping webcams and video cameras for meeting rooms of educational institutions (Illustrative image)
In Article 18 of Circular 53/2012/TT-BGDDT, the Information Technology Department under the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam shall preside over and allocate accounts for online meeting rooms (Web conferencing) to the Departments of Education and Training and the Divisions of Education and Training. The online meeting room will be named according to the following model:
+ For the Departments of Education and Training in Vietnam: http://hop.edu.net.vn/province-name;
+ For the Divisions of Education and Training: http://hop.edu.net.vn/district-name.
+ Each unit presiding over managing the online meeting room will be given a username and password.
- Each educational authority appoints a dedicated officer to manage the online meeting room.
- The equipment for meeting rooms in educational institutions includes:
+ Webcam or video camera;
+ 1 to 2 computers connected to the Internet;
+ Speakers, microphone, amplifier, and mixer;
+ TV screen or projector.
Additionally, activities carried out via online meeting rooms include:
- Briefing meetings;
- Professional training;
- Organizing e-Learning classes;
- Supporting the organization of excellent teacher contests.
