Vietnam: Entities subject to penalties for administrative violations in tourism

On May 21, 2019, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree No. 45/2019/NĐ-CP on penalties for administrative violations in tourism.

According to Decree No. 45/2019/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government, organizations being entities subject to penalties for administrative violations in tourism include:

- Tourism enterprises incorporated and operating under Vietnam’s law;

- Branches and representative offices of tourism enterprises;

- Tourism cooperatives, cooperatives unions;

- Representative offices in Vietnam of foreign tourism agencies, international and regional tourism organizations;

- Tourism socio-professional organizations;

- Management boards of tourist attractions, tourist areas, tourism public sector entities;

- Guest houses, hostels of regulatory agencies providing tourist accommodation services.

Notably, individuals being entities subject to penalties for administrative violations in tourism are those not specified above.
