Vietnam: Domestically-produced or imported firefighter clothing must undergo inspection

According to Circular No. 48/2015/TT-BCA of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, the domestically-produced or imported firefighter clothing must undergo inspection as regulated in Article 18 of the Circular No. 66/2014/TT-BCA dated December 16, 2014 of the Ministry of Public Security detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Decree No. 79/2014/ND-CP dated July 31, 2014 detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the law on fire prevention and fighting and the Law on amendments to the number of articles of the law on fire prevention and fighting of Vietnam.

Concurrently, funding for provision of firefighter clothing for night-watch forces, internal and professional fire prevention and fighting forces is prescribed as follows:

- Funding for provision of firefighter clothing for night-watch forces is provided by annual security and national defense budgets of the people’s committees and shall comply with the Law on state budget.

- Heads of organizations and supervisory bodies of such organizations shall provide funding for firefighter clothing for internal fire prevention and fighting forces of such organizations and professional fire prevention and fighting forces as regulated in Clause 2 Article 32 of Decree No. 79/2014/ND-CP of Vietnam’s Government.

- Funding for provision of firefighter clothing for night-watch forces, internal and professional fire prevention and fighting forces affiliated to state agencies, administrative units, armed forces and other units funded by central and internal state budgets shall be provided by the state budget in accordance with the Law on state budget.
