Resolution 106/2008/NQ-HDND on the direction of industrial development in Thanh Hoa provinc, Vietname by 2020 is as follows:

- Rapid and sustainable development of industry as a foundation for rapid growth and economic restructuring of the province

- Industrial sector restructuring towards a significant increase in basic industries, and processing industries... By 2020, Thanh Hoa will essentially have a solid industrial sector with a modern structure.- The growth rate of industry - construction reaches over 21.5% per year (of which the period 2011-2015 reaches 21.4% per year and the period 2016-2020 reaches 21.6% per year).

- Develop the main industrial sectors as follows:

-  Focus  on  the  development  of  petrochemical  industries;  develop  other  industries  and  services…

-  Develop  the  construction  material  production  industry,  accelerate  the  investment  progress  in  the  construction  of  the  second  production  lines  of  Nghi  Son,  Bim  Son,  and  Cong  Thanh  cement  plants…

-  Electrical  industry:  Strive  to  achieve  commercial  electricity  production  of  over  20  billion  KWh  by  2020.

-  Strong  development  of  mechanical  manufacturing  industries:  accelerate  the  construction  progress  of  POMIDO  steelmaking  plant  with  a  capacity  of  650,000  tons  per  year,…

-  Agricultural,  forestry,  and  fishery  product  processing  industry:  renovate,  upgrade,  and  maximize  the  production  capacity  of  existing  facilities  while  building  new  agricultural,  forestry,  and  fishery  product  processing  facilities  associated  with  the  establishment  of  concentrated  raw  material  areas.

-  Continue  to  develop  other  industries  such  as:  mining  industry,  livestock  feed  production,  consumer  goods  production,  and  export  industries:  garment,  packaging,  footwear,  travel  goods,  sports  equipment.

- Develop industrial zones and clusters.
