Depending on whether overhead cranes and gantry cranes are produced domestically or imported, the quality management requirements in Vietnam will differ:

For domestically produced overhead cranes and gantry cranes:

- Have full technical documentation.

- Be certified for conformity.

- Declare conformity according to regulations.

- Attach a conformity mark to overhead cranes and gantry cranes before being placed on the market.

For imported overhead cranes and gantry cranes:

- Have full technical documentation.

- Be certified for conformity.

- Be exempt from import inspection in cases where the importation is under bilateral or multilateral agreements between the competent authority of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the exporting countries specifying that quality inspection upon import is not required.
