Vietnam: Conditions for national defense workers to participate in vocational skills test (level 5-7)

According to Article 23 of the Circular No. 142/2020/TT-BQP of the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam, conditions for national defense workers to participate in vocational skills test (level 5-7) are as follows:

- To be examined, assessed and granted a certificate of occupational skills at the level 5 of a profession, a national defense worker must meet one of the following conditions:

+ Possessing a certificate of vocational skill level 4 or a university diploma corresponding to the occupation under examination and having worked continuously in the occupation specified in Appendix 1 issued together with Circular No. 142/2020/TT-BQP (Appendix 1);

+ Possessing a certificate of vocational skill level 3 or a diploma of a college or vocational college corresponding to the occupation under examination and having worked continuously in the occupation specified in Appendix 1;

+ Having a certificate of vocational skill level 2 or a diploma of intermediate, vocational intermediate or professional intermediate level corresponding to the occupation under examination and having worked continuously in the occupation specified in Appendix 1;

+ Having a certificate of vocational skill level 1 or a certificate of elementary level, a diploma of a technical worker corresponding to the occupation under examination and having and having worked continuously in the occupation specified in Appendix 1.

- To be tested, assessed and granted a certificate of occupational skills at the level 6 occupational skill level of a profession, national defense workers must meet one of the following conditions:

+ Possessing a certificate of vocational skill level 5 corresponding to the occupation under examination and have worked continuously in the occupation specified in Appendix 1;

+ Processing a certificate of vocational skill level 4 or a university diploma corresponding to the occupation under examination and having worked continuously in the occupation specified in Appendix 1;

+ Possessing a certificate of vocational skill level 3 or a diploma of a college or vocational college corresponding to the occupation under examination and having worked continuously in the occupation specified in Appendix 1;

+ Possessing a certificate of vocational skill level 2 or a diploma of intermediate, vocational intermediate or professional intermediate level corresponding to the occupation under examination and having worked continuously in the occupation specified in Appendix 1;

+ Possessing a certificate of vocational skill level 1 or a certificate of elementary level, a technical worker's degree corresponding to the occupation under examination and having worked continuously in the occupation specified in Appendix 1.

- To be tested, assessed and granted a certificate of occupational skills at the level 7 occupational skill level of a profession, defense workers must meet one of the following conditions:

+ Possessing a certificate of vocational skill level 6 corresponding to the occupation under examination and have worked continuously in the occupation specified in Appendix 1;

+ Possessing a certificate of vocational skill level 5 corresponding to the occupation under examination and have worked continuously in the occupation specified in Appendix 1;

+ Possessing a certificate of vocational skill level 4 or a university diploma corresponding to the occupation under examination and having worked continuously in the occupation specified in Appendix 1;

+ Possessing a certificate of vocational skill level 3 or a diploma of a college or vocational college corresponding to the occupation under examination and having worked continuously in the occupation specified in Appendix 1;

+ Possessing a certificate of vocational skill level 2 or a diploma of intermediate, vocational intermediate or professional intermediate level corresponding to the occupation under examination and having worked continuously in the occupation specified in Appendix 1;

+ Possessing a certificate of vocational skill level 1 or a certificate of elementary level, a technical worker's degree corresponding to the occupation under examination and having worked continuously in the occupation specified in Appendix 1.
